March 13, 2020
Dear Friends,
In light of the recent announcement from our governor about the coronavirus (COVID-19), we are making the following changes to our church activities:

We will not be gathering for worship services: Sunday, March 15

We will not be gathering for worship services: Sunday, March 22

We will not be holding small groups, Bible Studies or other ministries through Sunday, March 22

We thank you for your grace and flexibility, as we endeavor to be good citizens and comply with these measures to ensure the safety and health of the most vulnerable among us. What an opportunity we have to choose attitudes of peace and servanthood, as we willingly disrupt our routines to communicate love and care to our neighbors!

But just because we can’t gather together, doesn’t mean we can’t still have church! You’ll be able to access a message from Pastor Scott each week on our website from home. We encourage you to tune in as we all make it a priority to worship God together these Sundays, even though we’re doing it remotely.

We recommend that you give your offering and tithes online, if you are inclined to do so. Follow the link on Hope’s website to set this up. You can call Dawn Weingart at (269) 663-5321 X 6  if you need help.

As we’ve seen in the last few days, information coming from officials and the health department may shift our plans, as new measures are put in place for public health and safety. We will keep you updated as we know more. In the meantime, let’s be the Church wherever we are, acting out of love and God’s peace, which passes all understanding.

We will keep you updated via email, Facebook and at as events unfold. Please be in prayer for Michiana and for the world, especially for those who are directly impacted by this virus.

Remember, “He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.” Psalm 62:2.

Be the church wherever you are,

Pastor Scott
